Tears of joy and celebration as students collect their GCSE results

The wait for GCSE results is over as students across the country returned to school one final time to collect their grades, and the current coronavirus pandemic hasn’t dampened spirits for final year students at Oasis Academy South Bank, South London as they look forward to taking their next steps today after securing some great results.

A number of students have achieved superb individual results.

Mohammed, our Head Boy achieved some outstanding results 88776554, and he will re-join us in Sixth Form in September to continue fighting the good fight, making our community the best, most inclusive place it can be.

Rosie is well her way to achieving her dream job of becoming a Marine biologist, we are absolutely delighted that her hard work has paid off and she earned Grade 9s across the board!

Coming to Oasis Academy South Bank speaking no English, Sina has achieved against the odds and is very proud of his 2 Grade 8s and 4 Grade 7s including English.

Anna Richardson, Co-Principal at Oasis Academy South Bank, commented on students’ success saying; “We’ve had a brilliant day celebrating with our amazing year 11 students who have been rewarded for their hard work, dedication and resilience with fantastic results! We couldn’t be prouder of the kind, compassionate and inclusive young people who picked up their envelopes today and are so pleased that so many of them are choosing to continue their journey with us in the South Bank Sixth Form.”

“Today is also an important testimony and a credit too to our fantastic teachers who are so dedicated to our students, enabling them to do their very best.”

Head of Year 11 at Oasis Academy South Bank added; “We are thrilled for all of our students on their results today – they have worked hard and reaped the rewards. We wish them all the best on their next steps, wherever that may be. Their achievements are an inspiration to the younger students of what can be achieved.”
