Project Transformation

OASB’s Mission to transform our social areas

Here at OASB, we are constantly changing our school for the better and listening to student feedback to make sure our school is a safe place for all. At the moment, our social areas are plain and a bit dark (see photos attached). We know that social time promotes wellbeing and helps our students achieve their best in lessons and beyond. We want to transform our outdoor spaces into vibrant spaces where everyone can enjoy downtime and relax. We also want to use these spaces to foster a love of nature and an interest in ecological and sustainability within our community.

That’s why we have launched Project Transformation. It’s a Project run mostly be students who are planning and actioning ideas to make the Outside Playspace and Undercroft the best, liveliest, safest, calmest and funnest places they can be. So far, we have put Connect 4, basketball hoops, table tennis tables and benches in the Outside Playspace. We have added new football goals and basketball hoops. In both we have added greenery and plants to make an eco-friendlier environment. However, we plan to do much more.
