Founded in 1994 Place2Be is an innovative, growing charity that supports children’s emotional development by offering them a space where they can express their feelings through talking, creative work and play. Place2Be delivers a range of services directly to children, parents and staff in schools and is now working in partnership with Oasis Academy South Bank.
Place2Be works with children one-to-one, offering regular time-tabled support for those who will benefit most. One aspect of the service is Place2Talk - a lunchtime drop-in service, which is open to all pupils every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Here, pupils can make an appointment to spend 15 minutes with a trained and qualified therapist to talk about friendships, concerns or any worries they may have.
We routinely meet with parents to discuss their worries about their children and we also offer support to teachers and school staff members via Place2Think, where the focus is the students, which in turn helps the whole school to thrive.
